Thursday 1st March 2012 Day 1 Adelaide to Kimba SA

As we said in the opening Blog we left earlier than expected, we set off at 1130 am so how far could we go?

First stop was Kimba inSouth Australia by 7pm, why so long? head winds, for parts of the drive we had a  top speed 85-90kms/hr but with the head winds it was more like 80kph but hey we got there seeing the Big Galah on our arrival.
Where to stay, the local Caravan park which was lets say was dusty and gravely with some soft muddy areas so that was it we're staying in the Kombi tonight. 5Star accommodation?Too right, Motel Volkswagen just like in the old VW brochures.
