After a good nights sleep in the Kombi we started the day with some fantastic Weetbix and hit the road by 7.30am heading off towards the Nullabour Plain. A good but slow drive again taking in the sights of several small SA country towns such as Penong with its millions of windmills and Yalata which used to have a roadhouse but now its claim to fame for us was the sign below.
After several hours of driving we made it to,

Moving on we decided to check out the Head of The Bight only to find that it was closes at 4.30pm so that was that, but from previous experience I knew there were some good views to be seen coming up.
Further along the Eyre Highway to the Nullabour Roadhouse for a top up of petrol, $1.99/litre. the dearest so far.

As the Eyre Highway gets closer to the coast there are several small turn offs 100-200 metres from the edge of Australia. The coastline looked fantastic.
Day 2 closed by arriving at Eucla, Western Australia at 7.30pm and after a long day we checked out the Hotel/Motel to see what we could have for tea. A schnitzel for $28.00 I don't think so! We decided to go back to the kombi and cook something else.
